About Us

The Hibbs Story

In 1947, Hibbs ElectroMechanical, Inc. was created to serve Kentucky’s booming coal industry as a motor repair facility. At that time, we weren’t aware of the terms “vertical integration,” “continuous improvement,” or “total customer satisfaction”—even though we were practicing these very concepts. We were simply making sure our customers were satisfied. As such, when regulations began to erode Kentucky’s coal sales, Hibbs ElectroMechanical, Inc. services were already diversified to serve multiple industries around the nation.

In 1997, Hibbs ElectroMechanical, Inc. expanded the operation and moved into a new 40,000-square-foot facility. Since then, we have acquired numerous pieces of state-of-the-art equipment for the service and repair of electromechanical machinery.

My family tells me I’m a good cook, and I love experimenting with new foods and recipes. My wife and I enjoy traveling when she can convince me to take a break. There is nothing I find more fulfilling than helping our teammates reach their fullest potential and become the best versions of themselves.

Brandon Strader

Project Manager

My name is Brandon Strader. I’m the Project Manager at Hibbs. I first started my career with Hibbs in 2010 as an Engineering Technician. It was a bit of a challenge coming from a traditional manufacturing background seeing the same part sometimes literally “stamped out” day after day. Since that time, I’ve helped provide various solutions to a wide range of customer needs. My wife and I have four kids and two grandkids who teach us the greater meaning of life and importance of family. Sometimes it is a hard lesson learned, but together, we work to guide all of our futures.
